If there is one job that can out-hustle the rest of them, it’s stripping. Not only do strippers know how to work their unique looks, but they also possess the necessary life skills and talents to get the most out of a competitive market crowded with alcohol-fueled testosterone and cutthroat competition. Good ones have mastered being able to project an “attainable goddess” allure while great ones make their clients regularly fall in love.
Playboy’s Yoonj Kim heads to Sam’s Hofbrau in downtown Los Angeles where hundreds of girls work and dance every week, the majority leaving with $200-300 on a bad night and upwards of $5,000 on a great night. They open up about negotiation techniques, life advice, feminism, and what it’s like working as a stripper while maintaining a steady work-life balance.
